Create: A House for Artists

In 2022 I consulted on evaluation with residents and staff from Create’s A House for Artists. Based in Barking Town centre, A House for Artists is a pioneering project that provides flexible living space for twelve artists and their families - with studio workspaces, a ground-floor community space and a shared working yard that can be opened to the public. I worked with the artists to co-produce their evaluation framework - exploring the ambitions of the scheme’s ‘active tenancy’ model, and devising community centred evaluation methods.
