Universities and Heritage Partnership Network

Across the summer of 2025 I was commissioned by the University of York to write a case study about the development of a new network, bringing together heritage organisations and higher education institutions around the UK.

The network was formed to strengthen connections between universities and heritage organisations, to share practice and stimulate collaborative projects, and to act as a convening power to influence local, regional and national policy.

The case study (based on surveys, observations and interviews) maps the growth and operationalisation of the network, and summarises emerging areas of focus, learning from the pilot year and future ambitions.
